The German company Carbon Mobile has finally launched on the market Carbon 1 MK II, the first smartphone in the world entirely made with a carbon fiber shell, undoubtedly the most advanced material of this century, used largely for the automotive industry.
It is a mobile device that incorporates years of research and development. Equipped with an extremely thin 6.3 mm monocoque, it was created through a hybrid technology called Hyrecm (Hybrid Radio Enable Composite Material), which has woven carbon fiber with enabled composite materials to solve connectivity problems.
The device is very light. In fact, it weighs only 125 grams. In addition, the Carbon 1 MK II was designed with great attention to environmental sustainability, being produced with less than 5% plastic material.
According to the company, high-tech materials represent the necessary turning point for a sustainable future in the consumer electronics sector and this is why each device can be disassembled in its raw material and then reused, closing the material cycle.
